Tabanan Regency

    Tabanan Regency is the largest regional agricultural area and earned the nickname Rice Granary area in Bali. The first impression view in Tabanan area is green and fertile region. Climate and weather is cool and a gentle slope from the mountains in the north to the coastal areas on the south side to make Tabanan very superior in terms of wet soil and plantation agriculture. Tabanan north, began to Bedugul area is producing fruit and vegetables while the central and southern Tabanan is producing good quality rice.

   With a total area of 893.33 km2, divided into 10 sub-district of Tabanan. Although the livelihood opportunities in the tourism sector and other sectors is very open, most people still survive Tabanan in their fields. Reduced power cultivators in agriculture, because the work of other sectors, responded with the pattern of farming in a modern and efficient. Therefore, until now remained a focus for suppliers Tabanan food needs for Bali. In accordance with natural conditions, Tabanan promote nature tourism and agriculture as its superior potential in tourism. 


Tourism in Jembrana Regency, namely : 
1. Hot water Penatahan is located in Penatahan village, Penebel, 13 km north from the state and 34 km from Denpasar with beautiful natural scenery. On the right and left  a background of the terraced rice field. Hot spring are located on the banks of the river Yeh Ho and water Penatahan. Local people called it "Yeh Panes". Based on the result of research from the Ministry of health Laboratory, hot water is excellent for bathing because it contains sulfur and other minerals which are very good to cure skin diseases.

2. Alas Kedaton is located in the village of Marga district is 4 km from Tabanan city. This tample has two interesting things. The first one is there are four entrances into the temple that is from the west which is the other main entrance of the north, east and south from which all go into the central courtyard. The second one is a page in which is the holies places precisely located lower than the central courtyard and on the outside. The shrine is surrounded by woods inhabited by a group of monkeys. Beside that also there is a group of bats that live suspended in the branches of large trees and at time fling. This temple is often called Pura Dalem Alas Kedaton or Heaven.






3. Bedugul district is an area situated at an altitude of +1240 m above sea level. This area is very cool with an average temperature of 18 degree during the day and 24 degree during the night. There are a lake (Beratan Lake) and Ulun danu. Tourist can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery and water recreation. There are botanical garden that located on the west of bedugul. Forest are arranged in such way as to manifest a beautiful scenery and comfortable. On the sidelines of the trees that shade lay verdant grass and flower planted along diverse paths in the surrounding woods that add air coolness and stillness of the atmosphere. There is also a greenhouse building that is used for experiment and development of plants, especially orchids. There is thousand of plan in there.






4. Jatiluwih Village is situated at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, is located 27 km to the north of Tabanan city. Jatiluwih as village tourism is one of the most beautiful object in Bali, with the extensive and panoramic views of terraced rice field that has no unmatched. To the north its is backed by heavily wooded mountains with a cool and clean air.






5. Soka Beach is located 40 km from Denpasar or 25 km from the Tabanan city. Soka beach ha sbeautiful scenery, excellent place to rest. On thi sbeach there is a large pot of rocks and an ancient kitchen of Kebo Iwa in the days of yore.






6. Bali Butterfly park is located in the Wanasari village, is 5 km north Tabanan city. Butterfly is one of Indonesia's natural wealth and offering the greatest. Everyday there is hundreds detachable colorful butterfly tail. This is the only one butterfly park in Indonesia. They try bread and kept it for purpose if scientific knowledge as well as the study of education in the future.






7. Taman Makam Pahlawan Margarana is located 25 km from Denpasar or 13 km from Tabanan city. On 20 November 1946 there was an all-out battle between the forces of the Republic of Indonesia fighters againts the Dutch colonists, in Banjar kelaci. Marga village under the command of Lieutenant Colonel I GUsti Ngurah Rai. The battle is known by the name Puputan Margarana war. I Husti Ngurah Rai along with all his army slain in the fighting and all the heroes of the nation's ashes are buried here. On the building we can see some writing that is letter from I Gusti Ngurah Rai with all members of the army known as Ciung Wanara that said they won't compromise or surrender to the invaders.






8. Tanah Lot Temple is located at the sea or saparated from the mainland and around this temple there are also several small and big temple including Pakendungan temple. Below and to the west there are sources of fresh water that is sacred to Hindu water. Tanah lot temple is located in the village of Kediri district, its 13 km from Tabanan city. When low tide visitor can directly get to the temple to pray. There are temple which live a few large snakes and small balck and white. The snakes are very tame and should not be disturbed.This temple was founded in XV century by Rauh Bawu Nirartha Rawuh or organitating from the kingdom of Majapahit. 






9. Puri Anyar and Puri Gede is located in Kerambitan. Its an ancient castle that artistic. At night there are cultural night offers some interesting attractions, such as Joged bumbung (dance) and tektekan. The dancer will invited the guest to dance along the rhythm joged. While the tektekan we can also see some dancer who are possessed by spirits plugged kris in to the other dancer's body. A degger through crooked but can't penetrate his opponent's body.
