Badung Regency

  This region is the northern part of the valve cool mountain area, bordering the Buleleng regency, while in the sothern lowlands with a white sandy beach and directly adjacent to the Indonesian Ocean. The middles is an area of rice fields with views of beautiful and picturesque, bordered by Gianyar and Denpasar eastward, while to the west bordering the Tabanan regency.

Tourism in Badung Regency, namely : 

1. Waterfalls Nungnug is  located 40 km north of Denpasar city with a height of 50 m with a fairly large water discharge. To reach the location of this waterfall, we must trace hilly rice fields about 2 km from the highway. Enjoy the natural panorama all the way to the location of this waterfallwill. Its will be unforgettable experiences.







2. Attractions Makotek is ceromony that begins from the court of the Temple Pusuh Munggu then circled around the village area Munggu conducted by members of the community with a means of ceremony and a long wooden stick as a symbol of a weapon of war. In the heyday Mengwi Kingdom (17th century), the ancestral population of the village famous as a warrior kingdom Munggu Mengwi very tough. To honor their ancestors as a soldier of war and to ward off spirits - evil spirits and diseases, so every afternoon on the feast of brass held a ritual ceremony called Mekotek.







3. Ayung Rafting is located in ayung river flow at the eastern edge of the Badung regency and also the border with Gianyar regency. UPstream the river begins in the vicinity of Mount Kintamani and empties into Padang galak Beach, Sanur. Ayung river is the longest river and hasa great flow of water in Bali. Rafting on the river was first introduced by tourist because it is very popular. Lately, from the western part of the ayung river there are also several profesional managers rafting activities.






4. Wisata Baha Village located 4 miles east of Pura Taman Ayun, its a traditional village. Most of the people their working in farm so they must be members of the Subak. Subak is an organization that regulates of the water distribution for the agricultural irrigation. The community have hall which is used as a meeting place an various ceremonies related to agriculture. The unique things that you can find is the entrance to the house of each family are the same witha combination of traditional Balinese architecture.  






5. Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) is located in Bukit Unggasan - Jimbaran. Masterpiece Balinese I Nyoman Nuarta currently developed as a cultural park and a landmark for tourism. The satue is tangible God Vishnu in Hinduism. He is a protector, riding a Garuda bird. The statue was built with a height of 140 m, The projected is to bind space with visibility up to 20 km so that it can be seen from Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua up to Tanah Lot. Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is a symbol of environmental rescue mission and the world.






6. Geger Sawangan is located on the Beach Geger Sawangan, Nusa Dua. There is Camel safari which is managed by PT. KUta Bali Camel. This tour continent by taking a route along the coast to coast safari Gager Sawangan for approximately 1 hour.






7. Mandala wisata is located in the west of Taman Ayun Temple about 19 km from Denpasar. There is also a museum Manusa Yadnya containing the ritual journey of human life in Balinese Hinduism. There are also restaurant, open stage performances and art gallery Balinese handicrafts.






8. There are a lot of beach around badung area such as Canggu beach, Jimbaran beach, Kedonganan beach, Kuta beach, Legian beach, Seminyak beach, Labuan Sait beach, Nyang-nyang beach, balangan beach and Suluban beach. The beach is very beautiful some of the are is white sand beach and some of them is black sand beach. The beautiful beach with perfect wave for surf.






9. Captive turtles Deluang Sari is a small delta covered with mangrove forests, coastal white sand, with calm wave. Its located overlooking the sea recreation center Benoa Harbour. Because it has an intact ecological system, clean beaches, lush mangrove forest, then this place has been developed for breeding sea turtles. At the low tide we can walk to get there cross the sidelines of the mangrove tress. But on the high tides, we have to cross by boat from Benoa Harbour for about 10 minutes. There is also different types of fighting cock, animals and wild birds. 






10. Peti Tenget Temple is located in Banjar Batu Tenget Belig, Kerobokan, north Kuta district. The history about this temple is When the Rauh Sakti was in the hills south bridge (Uluwatu now) community from Kerobokan beg him for mercy moor so that they can be utilized the land. His suggested to built a temple for Ida Bjatara Labuhan Masceti and also for Bhuta Ijo. In the west side there is a white sand beach. In the afternoon the scenery is so enchanting to watch the sunset. 






11. Taman Ayun Temple is located in Mengwi village about 18 km northwest of Denpasar city. Taman Ayun means beautiful garden. Taman Ayun is a beautiful temple and surrounded by fish ponds which was built in 1634 by Kings of Mengwi I Gusti Agung Anom. This temple is Mom for the Mengwi kingdom. Every 210 days, they have a ceremony for few days to wordhip the Lord with all his manifestation. 






12. Uluwatu temple is located in the westernmost tip of Bukit peninsula. This temple was built, perched just above the rocks that jutted into the sea with magnificent views. This temple was used for worship a holy priest who came in the 11th century, named Rsi Kuturan. This temple also used for worship another holy priest Dang Hyang Nirartha, who came to Bali in late 1550 and end the sacred journey with Moksa. This temple perched in the steep cliffs that have formed where the earth finishes in the south coast of the east of the island. Dedicated to the power of the sea, its and architectonic wonder on the black coralline rock, designed wonderfully with spectacular visions.






13. Sangeh is the name of a village in the north. There is nutmeg trees covering 14 hectares and is inhabited by hundreds of monkeys. Nutmeg trees like that can't found elsewhere in Bali. There is a small temple covered with green moss on the sidelines of the hidden forest. On the back of the temple there is a carving statue of the Garuda. The history similar with Ramayan stories.
